					<description>Sally,

I love your blogs. I know you feel conflicted about doing them but they are appreciated on this end.

I've known a number of people who take the "no complaining/ you can't change the world but you can change your mind" attitude. It is subtley different then the "name it and claim it/the Secret" point of view". The former admits that there is a objective reality but take the position that we need to accept it as it is and then look at the positive side of things. The later feels that reality is subjective and therefore we can shape it with our will/desire.

I don't have much problem with the former group except that most of them are complete hypocrites. They espouse the idea that you should approach everything as positive until you point out that they need to see the positive side of the complete destruction of our current way of life and perhaps our entire civilization. And that there is a positive side - that humans are not the be all and end all of this universe/planet and that our time may have come and gone. They tend not to like that point of view.

The Secret folks are for the most part hopeless. But the good thing there is that they eventually wake up about the time that no matter how hard they try to envision they are still on the street with no home and no money.

<description>Thanks AV. It is great to know that the writing is appreciated. Tim and I agree that the truly good news is that our way of life can't continue. And I'll remember that as I speak with people who want to remain "positive."

					<description>Hi Sally
Thank you!
I've found a new way to deal with reality in this civilisation. We are living in a dark age, and we need to go to a lighter age. It's the opposite to what the fearful folks who think collapse will lead to anarchy and chaos. We need to go there soon, or finish killing the planet. This civilisation IS the dark age!
Keep on complaining!

Regards

<description>Great blog and can't wait to see the movie. I think most people aren't going to be reached in any real practical way. The complaint free world movement is just covering up more of the unreachable denial that has already consumed them. I believe complaining for the folks that know civilization is unhealthy and unsustainable keeps us sharp and on our toes. But the real effective complaining should be which is the best way to bring this monster down.
